Dear Americano Readers
Happy Holidays
Annual Letter to the Readers of the Americano Newsletter
Dear Readers,
As you might have noticed, there hasn't been a newsletter for the past three days. With the holiday season upon us, I will be taking a break from daily posts until I return from my trip in mid-January. During this time, I'll share weekly updates about news and interesting discoveries from my travels in China and Japan.
In 2024, this newsletter has reached over 2,000 views. This is mind-blowing to me, as I never imagined anyone would read this newsletter when I first started writing it for personal reasons. Over the past few months, I've been deeply touched by your persistent support: from the moments when you caught me sending the same post twice, to pointing out when I forgot to attach a smoothie recipe link or made spelling mistakes. These were all gentle reminders that you actually read the newsletter (or at least skim through it occasionally) and take something away from it.
In 2025, I plan to make this newsletter more engaging by incorporating new formats and writing styles, including posting readers’ submissions. I welcome your suggestions and feedback, which you can send to me at andy.liao@mail.utoronto.ca.
Thank you, again, for your continued support. I wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Until next year,
Andy
