Your Voice, Your Americano
We want your voice.
If you have insights, frustrations, or stories about the economic and social issues affecting our generation, we want to publish them.
Submission Guidelines
Your piece should:
Clearly explain how the issue affects Gen-Z specifically - Not just “young people” in abstract, but concrete impacts on our money, careers, relationships, mental health, future
Have a central economic dimension backed by data - Follow the money. Who profits? Who pays? What are the incentives driving this system?
Offer actionable insights or thought-provoking questions - Readers should leave with either something to do or something to think about differently
Be engaging and relevant - Would your friends actually read this, or would they skim and scroll past?
Include personal connection (ideally) - Your lived experience makes it authentic. Why does this matter to YOU?
Be 1,000-2,000 words - Long enough for depth, short enough to respect readers’ time
Example Topics We’d Love to See
Why Gen-Z is rejecting traditional career paths (and what that means for the economy)
Why therapy became unaffordable for the generation that needs it most
The economics of climate anxiety
See our piece “do women hate men now?” for an example of the depth, data, and voice we’re looking for.
